Novels, Novellas, and other Collected Writings
One of my pleasures is writing stories and I've come to realize I can't be a miser and keep them to myself. What's the fun in that? So, on this page you'll be able to find more information on my stories, whether they are short stories, novellas, novels, or works in progress.
Actually, right now, everything is a work in progress since I don't have anything published yet. Once I have them published, you can come here, read the first chapter for free and then I'll provide you with a link to get your own copy.
I've been asked "Where can I purchase your books?" The simple answer is: you can't. At least not yet. I haven't published anything yet and will be working diligently toward my goal of publishing my works this year. For 2016, I hope to be able to publish 3 novellas and 1 novel. That's a pretty high goal for me, but I have the 3 novellas mostly completed with a tiny bit of revision needed for the third in the series. I just started the novel and have set a goal to have my first draft done by the end of June. Then it will need to sit, be edited, edited again and again and again, and then I'll go through the process of publishing it with the ultimate goal of December 2016. So, as you can see, I have my work cut out for me this year in addition to my full-time job.
I decided to change how I'm going to publish my novellas. Instead of doing them singly, I plan on releasing the first three under the title Collision. The next three novellas in the series will be published under the title Collision: Part Two.

NovellasI have a couple novellas I'm getting ready to publish. The first is in the hands of my beta-readers, the first group of people to lay eyes on my works, who will provide me with feedback to make the story better.
The first novella is Escape. Freya sits in a secluded cell of a black-site military research facility. Her hands twitch with the supernatural gifts bestowed by her tormentors. To her delight, a critical lapse in safety protocols releases her from prison. An obvious escape route and the intoxicating scent of freedom beckon. But as she breaks loose, the teenager discovers she's not the only soul left to rot behind the experimenters' bars. Can Freya leave the other children behind and save herself, or will she free the others and risk losing it all? Here is a link to Chapter One of Escape. The second novella is Adrift. This is a continuation of the story Escape. Until I have a decent blurb, you'll have to be satisfied with Chapter One of Adrift. The third novella is Landfall. It is a continuation of the Escape and Adrift stories. I am currently working on this and have it 67.5% complete. The fourth novella is Taken. This is also a continuation of the Escape, Adrift, and Landfall stories. So far, it is in the planning stages and I have nothing to share with you at this point, other than this one will be fun! |
NovelsI have a couple works in progress that I'm proud of even though they are incomplete or in a state of revision.
I am currently working on a story called Flotsam. This story looks like it will be a full novel length of around 80,000 words or more. My goal is to complete the first draft of this by summer and complete editing by the fall. Hopefully, I will be able to publish this by the end of this year, if not, early 2017. As you'll see below, I have a number of works in progress. Don't worry! Flotsam is my top priority, along with my novellas. Another work in progress is Teithwyr. This is next on the docket and I have plans to finish this and have it ready for publishing by mid-2017. Surathi is the working title of something I finished a couple years ago. At last count, it was 80,000 words long. It is being revised and I hope to have this edited and ready to go sometime in late 2017 early 2018. However, because I completed a first draft of this and am very happy with the first chapter, I'll share it with you here. Chapter One of Surathi. |
